About Me

Hello! My name is Taylor Mackowsky and I am currently a senior at West Chester University, graduating in May. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the Kennett year-long experience for my student teaching placement at New Garden Elementary School. Through this experience, I have learned so much about technology, differentiation, types of assessments, and most importantly, collaboration. I am PA certified with grades Pre K-4, and plan to get certified in grades 5 & 6 in all content areas as well. Further, I plan to get certified in grades 4-8 mathematics. Explore my webpage to get to know more about me, my experiences, my teaching styles, and so much more!

  • Elementary Mathematics Minor Grades K-8

  • Elementary Reading Minor Grades Pre K-4

During my time at West Chester University, I developed the skills needed to create meaningful lessons that incorporate appropriate technology and differentiation for all students. Getting experience with a wide range of grade levels has exposed me to many different ways on how to change my ideas, methods and overall lessons by differentiating in all content areas.

I grew up in Richboro, PA in Bucks County. The first moment I knew I wanted to be a teacher was in my second grade classroom with an amazing teacher named Ms. Polchan. It was in 6th grade with another fabulous teacher, Ms. Mannino, that I realized this is the perfect career path for me! Both of these teachers facilitated a nurturing, welcoming community within the classroom, which I plan to implement as a classroom management strategy in my first classroom.
