I often differentiate by grouping my students in an environment where they will succeed, such as placing students who work well together in the same group, finding areas of the room that will keep the students focused and engaged, and developing activities to meet the needs of each student

Technology: The use of the SMART Board, showing a video from GoNoodle (Purple Stew) relating to the lesson as the anticipatory set. Also, the use of an iPad to check the script and list of ingredients in case the story went off track.

Technology: Virtual Reality goggles were used to show the students how the planets look in the solar system, including the Sun and Pluto, while learning fast facts about each planet

Doing a quiz after the BrainPOP video to promote higher-level thinking to show understanding
Technology: Displaying a BrainPOP Jr. video on the SMART Board to go along with an activity as an anticipatory set, as well as using laptops to go onto the math program, ALEKS, as one of the centers
Lesson: 3-4 week unit plan on adjectives & adverbs, including nouns and verbs

Technology: Using the SMART Board to display videos from BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr., School House Rock, and Pendemonium. Also using interactive SMART Notebooks for the students to use hands-on during whole group instruction, as well as using the ELMO for teacher modeling before independent practice.
